About Us | Sault Ste. Marie | In Your Eyes Projects
In Your Eyes Projects is a not-for-profit theatre company dedicated to honouring those moments where a visceral connection occurs between performer and audience - those moments when they begin to journey together bravely exploring the experience of being alive.
THE ARTISTIC DIRECTORS

Joseph Lauzon is a director and designer who has won numerous awards both regionally and provincially. In Your Eyes Projects is the second theatre company he has founded and in the last thirty years, he has explored a variety of theatrical styles while promoting the arts in Sault Ste. Marie. During that time, he has also taught techniques involved with both the Dramatic Arts and the Writer’s Craft.
Loretta Durat is an award-winning director with over 50 shows to her credit from classics to the development of new work. A certified Arts Educator and a long standing member of the OAC’s Artist in Education roster, Loretta is dedicated to the teaching of young learners, her own theatre training based in a practical approach having studied with various artist/trainers across the province.
The directors have collaborated over the last 15 years and have received numerous awards and have the distinction of presenting two plays at the Theatre Ontario Festival (Festival that features the four best community theatre productions in the province). Their production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead garnered more awards at Theatre Ontario than any production from Northern Ontario in the past 50 years.
